Kids Woods Works
I give kids a chance to make their ideas real. Wood is a perfect material for that.
They come to class with their own plans and hopes, we discuss how they can make them true, and then they do it with as little help from me as possible.
It is not proper carpentry. We use only those instruments and methods that are suitable for children 7-12 years old. They are simple but effective.
The result is usually what they can immediately use in their life.
I would call my classes wood creative modelling. Creativeness and free will are far more inportant at that age than technology and precision.

I have run wood creative modelling classes for primary school for 4 years in small private schools in Moscow.
We created many various interesting models, worked out many methods, tested many ways of dealing with wood and instruments.

Transport

Hand knife carving can produce simple sticks or elaborated pens.
